He was one of eight archdeacons appointed by the bishop: Lincoln, Huntingdon, Northampton, Oxford, Buckingham, Bedford and Stow. In the Victorian era reforms, the archdeaconry became part of Peterborough diocese on 1 May 1839〔Robert K.
